‘Halklar Dustligi’ Concert Hall

The Peoples' Friendship Palace is the concert and cinema hall in Tashkent, capital city of Uzbekistan. The building was designed by architect Yevgeny Rozanov from the Moscow Architectural Institute who one decade prior to that worked on the city's Lenin Museum, modern day State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. ‘Halklar Dustligi’ Concert Hall is situated 270 metres southwest of Cambridge Learning Centre.

Xalqlar Doʻstligi is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Chilonzor Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1977 as part of the inaugural section of Tashkent Metro, between October inkilobi and Sabir Rakhimov. Drujba Narodov is situated 150 metres north of Cambridge Learning Centre.

The Humo Arena, also known as Ice Dome Tashkent or Humo Ice Dome, is a multifunctional indoor arena located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Humo Arena is the biggest hockey arena in Central Asia with a capacity of 12,500 and the second after the Belarusian Minsk Arena in the CIS. Humo Arena is situated 780 metres east of Cambridge Learning Centre.

It was an ancient city on the Silk Road, the network of trading routes between China and Europe, but what you see now is mostly modern - it was wrecked by an earthquake in 1966 and rebuilt in Soviet style, with humdrum medium-raise lining interminable boulevards.
