Biomuseo is a museum focused on the natural history of Panama, whose isthmus was formed very recently in geologic time, with major impact on the ecology of the Western Hemisphere. Biomuseo is situated 3 km northwest of Isla Perico.

Figali Convention Center

Convention center

Figali Convention Center is an indoor sports arena, in Fort Amador, Panama City, Panama. The capacity of the arena is 25,000. Built in 2003, as the main venue for the Miss Universe 2003 pageant, which took place in Panama that year. Figali Convention Center is situated 3½ km northwest of Isla Perico.

Balboa is a district of Panama City, located at the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. It was the capital of the Panama Canal Zone under American administration. Today, the Panama Canal Authority has its main headquarters on Balboa Heights.
