The Nevada National Security Sites initially named the Nevada Proving Ground, and later the Nevada Test Site ) is a reservation of the United States Department of Energy located in the southeastern portion of Nye County, Nevada, approximately 65 mi northwest of Las Vegas. Nevada Test Site is situated 4½ miles north of Sundown-A.
