AMD Academy of Fashion and Design

The AMD Akademie Mode & Design is the design department of the private Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. With locations in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Munich and Berlin, AMD is thus part of one of the largest private universities of applied sciences in Germany and is based in Idstein together with the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.

The Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg is one of the larger universities of music in Germany. It was founded in 1950 as Staatliche Hochschule für Musik on the base of the former private acting school of Annemarie Marks-Rocke and Eduard Marks. Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg is situated 370 metres north of AMD Academy of Fashion and Design.

The Hamburger Kunsthalle is the art museum of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Germany. It is one of the largest art museums in the country. It consists of three connected buildings, dating from 1869, 1921 and 1997, located in the Altstadt district between the Hauptbahnhof and the two Alster lakes. Hamburger Kunsthalle is situated 1¼ km south of AMD Academy of Fashion and Design.

Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, or Hamburg Central Railway Station in English, is the main railway station of the city of Hamburg, Germany. Opened in 1906 to replace four separate terminal stations, today Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is operated by DB InfraGO AG. Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is situated 1½ km south of AMD Academy of Fashion and Design.
