Heimburg Castle, also called the Altenburg or Alteburg, is a ruined castle on an oval hilltop about 330 metres above sea level which is located just north of the Harz Mountains in central Germany. Heimburg Castle is situated 250 metres northwest of Geopark Harz.

Langenstein is a village and a former municipality in the district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Halberstadt. The World War II concentration camp Langenstein-Zwieberge was located here. Langenstein is situated 6 km northeast of Geopark Harz.
