Goppenstein is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Valais and municipality of Ferden. The station is located on the Lötschberg line of the BLS AG, just outside the southern portal of the Lötschberg tunnel.

The Niwen is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, overlooking the Rhone in the upper canton of Valais. It lies in the massif that separates the valley of Leukerbad from the lower Lötschental and that culminates at the Ferdenrothorn. Niwen is situated 2½ km west of Underi Meiggu.

Hohtenn is a village and former municipality in the district of Raron in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Since 1 January 2009, it has been part of the municipality of Steg-Hohtenn. Hohtenn railway station, on the Lötschberg line, lies just over 1 kilometre from, and 253 metres above, the village of Hohtenn. Hohtenn is situated 4½ km south of Underi Meiggu.
