Nikko is a small town to the north of , in Tochigi Prefecture. Nikko is most commonly visited as a day trip from Tokyo via train. If you have more time, you can use Nikko as a base to visit , home of the Edo Wonderland Historical Theme Park, as well as the beautiful hiking, viewpoints, and waterfalls near Lake Chuzenji, 1 hour by bus from Nikko.
