Cheongju

Cheongju, also spelled Chongju, is the capital of North Chungcheong, South Korea. For a domestic traveler however, perhaps Cheongju's most notable asset is that it houses one of Korea's major domestic airports, serving Cheongju and the nearby major city of Daejeon.

Chungju is a city in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. Uamsan is a mountain located within the outskirts of the city. The city is famous for the annual martial arts festival held in October, and for being the hometown of former UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon.
