Arkadelphia is in the Ouachitas of Arkansas. Compared to its surroundings, it has somewhat of an erudite feel, given that it has not one but two colleges — Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University.
Mena

Mena is a town in Arkansas. A railroad town, Mena grew to a population of over 3,000 people within a few years of its founding in 1897. It was also touted for its health spa amenities.

Paris is the seat of Logan County in the Ouachitas region of Arkansas. While possibly a little provincial and unremarkable in itself, it is a good staging point for visiting the Ouachita Mountains, particularly the tallest point in Arkansas, Mt. Magazine.
