Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

The Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex is a large area in the Prairies and Lakes region of Texas. With an estimated population of 7.6 million as of 2020, it is the most populous metropolitan area in Texas and the South and the fourth most populous in the United States.
Blackland Prairie
The Texas Blackland Prairies are a temperate grassland ecoregion located in Texas that runs roughly 300 miles from the Red River in North Texas to San Antonio in the south.
Cross Timbers
The term Cross Timbers, also known as Ecoregion 29, Central Oklahoma/Texas Plains, is used to describe a strip of land in the United States that runs from southeastern Kansas across Central Oklahoma to Central Texas.

Bastrop

Bastrop is the county seat of Bastrop County, Texas, and is located about 30 mi east of Austin. Bastrop was settled by Europeans in 1804 and incorporated on December 18, 1837, with a 2020 population of 9688.
