The Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex is a large area in the Prairies and Lakes region of Texas. With an estimated population of 7.6 million as of 2020, it is the most populous metropolitan area in Texas and the South and the fourth most populous in the United States.

Bastrop

Bastrop is the county seat of Bastrop County, Texas, and is located about 30 mi east of Austin. Bastrop was settled by Europeans in 1804 and incorporated on December 18, 1837, with a 2020 population of 9688.
