Rangiora is a rural town 25 km north of , in the of . It is the largest town in North and the seat of the Waimakariri District Council. The Ashley River is just to the north of the town.

is a state co-educational secondary school located in Rangiora, New Zealand. Established in 1881 by an act of parliament and opened in 1884, the school has a roll of 1,646 students from years 9 to 13 as of October 2025, making it the fifth-biggest school in the South Island.
