Mossoró is the second largest city of the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil, economically centred on petrol extraction, agriculture, and salt panning, and lately also shrimp farming and renewable energy.
Parnamirim

Parnamirim is a city in Rio Grande do Norte, in the metropolitan area of Natal. It is frequently considered to be part of Natal by visitors, due to the conurbation between the two cities.

Extremoz

Extremoz is a municipality of Rio Grande do Norte, located in the metropolitan area of Natal. Its main attraction are its fields of sand dunes and its beaches, including Genipabu, one of the most famous of the state and easily accessible from Natal.
Ceará-Mirim

Ceará-Mirim is a city in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in the Northeast region of Brazil. With an area of 724.838 square kilometers, of which 28.5233 square kilometres is urban, it is located 30 km from Natal, the state capital, and 1,771 km from Brasília, the federal capital.
Nísia Floresta

Nísia Floresta is a municipality of Rio Grande do Norte just south of the metropolitan area of Natal in Brazil. It is a popular destination due to its beaches and lakes, the most famous being Búzios and Carcará respectively.
Tibau do Sul

Tibau do Sul is a municipality of Rio Grande do Norte. The municipality contains three coastal villages, Tibau do Sul, Pipa and Sibaúma, and several kilometers of sandy beaches surrounded by cliffs.

Tibau is a beach town in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil, on the border with the state of Ceará. It is the main resort for the people of Mossoró, who head out to the beaches both to the east and west during most weekends.

Baía Formosa

Baía Formosa is the easternmost city of the Brazilian state Rio Grande do Norte and is close to the border with neighbouring Paraíba. The name Baía Formosa literally means "Beautiful Bay" and refers to the particularly scenic location of the main village.
Praia de Pipa

Praia de Pipa is one of Brazil's most famous beach towns. Situated on the southern coast of Rio Grande do Norte, it is administratively a part of Tibau do Sul.
Genipabu

Genipabu or Jenipabu is a beach village in Rio Grande do Norte, getting ever more incorporated into Greater Natal, a few kilometres to its south, after the opening of a new bridge in 2009. It is a tourist destination with huge dunes and fresh water lagoons.
