The French Concession is the area of Shanghai that was established for the French government to administer from 1849 until 1946.

Yangpu is one of the districts that comprise the city centre of the city of Shanghai.

Minhang is a district of Shanghai, one of the inner ring of suburbs.

Changning is a district on the West side of downtown Shanghai, largely residential but with attractions such as the Shanghai Zoo and several large shopping malls.

Putuo is a district in downtown Shanghai. Shanghai West Station is located in this district and is served by a few daily trains from around the area.

Sōngjiāng is a district of Shanghai. It is divided in two by the Huhang expressway.

Zhabei is a district in downtown Shanghai, located North of Suzhou Creek.

Hongkou is on the northeast side of Shanghai. The district is most known for Hongkou Stadium, Shanghai University's campus and Lu Xun Park.
