Chiran Castle was a Japanese castle located in the Chiran area of the city of Minamikyūshū, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Its ruins were designated a National Historic Site in 1993. Chiran Castle is situated 200 metres north of Ji-Jo compartment.

The airbase at Chiran, Minamikyūshū, on the Satsuma Peninsula of Kagoshima, Japan, served as the departure point for hundreds of Special Attack or kamikaze sorties launched in the final months of World War II. Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots is situated 1 km west of Ji-Jo compartment.
