The station is located just southeast of the city centre inside the Second Ring Road with Beijing Station Street to the north and the remnants of the city wall between Chongwenmen and Dongbianmen to the south. Beijing Railway Station is situated 2 km west of 检测库.

The Beijing Ancient Observatory is a pretelescopic observatory located in Beijing, China. The observatory was built in 1442 during the Ming dynasty, and expanded during the Qing. Beijing Ancient Observatory is situated 1¼ km northwest of 检测库.

CITIC Tower, also known as China Zun, is a supertall skyscraper in the Central Business District of Beijing, China. The 109-story, 528-metre building constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau is the tallest in the city, surpassing the China World Trade Center Tower III by 190 metres. CITIC Tower is situated 2 km northeast of 检测库.
