The Virginia State Capitol is the seat of state government of the Commonwealth of Virginia, located in Richmond, the state capital. It houses the oldest elected legislative body in North America, the Virginia General Assembly, first established as the House of Burgesses in 1619. Virginia State Capitol is situated 410 feet northwest of Oliver Hill Building.

George Washington Building, also known as the Virginia State Office Building, is a historic state office building located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1922–1923, and is a 12-story, steel frame, V-shaped Beaux-Arts style building.
