Tyrrellspass is a Georgian village in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is 81 kilometres from Dublin, in the south of the county on the R446 road. Tyrrellspass won the Irish Tidy Towns Competition in 1969. Tyrrellspass is situated 4½ km north of Montrath Castle.

Tullamore is the county town of County Offaly, and more or less in the centre of Ireland. It's traversed by the Grand Canal, which is navigable by leisure boats from Dublin to the Shannon and beyond. The town is best known for Tullamore Dew whiskey. Croghan is situated 7 km east of Montrath Castle.
