Schmerikon railway station is a railway station situated in the municipality of Schmerikon in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It is located next to the shore of Obersee on the Rapperswil to Ziegelbrücke line.

Buechberg is an elongated molasse hill in the Swiss canton of Schwyz, located southeast of the Obersee. At 631 metres, its summit is significantly lower than the surrounding mountains of the Appenzell Alps and Schwyzer Alps, which are over 1,300 metres high.
