The Walker County Hospital, at 1100 7th Ave. in Jasper, Alabama, was built in 1923. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It is an E-shaped, two-story brick building which served from 1923 to 1980 as a hospital, and, up to 1936, as the only hospital in Walker County. Walker County Hospital is situated 1½ miles northeast of Jasper Substation.

Jasper is a city in and the county seat of Walker County, Alabama, United States. As of the 2020 census, Jasper had a population of 14,572. Named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War hero, Jasper was settled around 1815 and incorporated on August 18, 1886.
