Expanded to more than double its original size in 2006 by Concor Construction, Maerua Mall is now the third largest shopping mall in Namibia and contains a number of retail outlets, including Ackermans, @home, FNB, Total Sports, Stuttafords. Maerua Mall is situated 1¼ km east of Auas Valley Shopping Mall.

Sanderburg is the smallest of three castles in Windhoek, Namibia. It was built between 1917 and 1919 by architect Wilhelm Sander who designed it as his own place of residence. Its architectural style combines several medieval features. Sander’s castle is situated 1½ km northeast of Auas Valley Shopping Mall.
