The Collegium Medico-Chirurgicum Josephinum or Josephinian Military Academy of Surgery was an academy of military medicine founded in Vienna by Emperor Joseph II in 1784. Josephinian Military Academy of Surgery is situated 320 metres east of Haus der Forschung.

The Vienna Volksoper is an opera house in Vienna, Austria. It produces three hundred performances of twenty-five German language productions of opera, operetta, musicals, and ballet, during an annual season which runs from September through June. Vienna Volksoper is situated 600 metres north of Haus der Forschung.
