La Rambla is considered the most well known street in central Barcelona. A tree-lined pedestrian street, it stretches for 1.2 kilometres connecting the Plaça de Catalunya in its center with the Christopher Columbus Monument at Port Vell.

The Gran Teatre del Liceu, or simply Liceu, is a theater in Barcelona, Spain. Situated on La Rambla, it is the city's oldest theater building still in use for its original purpose. Liceu is situated 130 metres south of Pla de la Boqueria.
