The First Presbyterian Church was built in 1907 and is located just one block west of the current downtown business district in Coweta, Oklahoma. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Wagoner County, Oklahoma in 2003. First Presbyterian Church is situated 1½ miles north of River Bend Estates.

Founded at the turn of the 20th century, it was one of more than fifty all-black towns in Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory and is one of thirteen surviving black communities in Oklahoma. Red Bird is situated 5 miles southeast of River Bend Estates.
