Amarna sits between the east bank of the river Nile and the high plateau of the Eastern Desert, some 58 km south of Minya, 402 km north of Luxor and 312 km south of the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The Small Aten Temple is a temple to the Aten located in the ancient Egyptian city of Amarna. It is one of the two major temples in the city, the other being the Great Temple of the Aten. Small Aten Temple is situated 750 metres southwest of Great Temple of the Aten.
