The Tempodrom is a multi-purpose event venue in Berlin. Founded by Irene Moessinger, it opened in 1980 next to the Berlin Wall on the west side of Potsdamer Platz, housed in a large circus tent.

The Anhalter Bahnhof is a former railway terminus in Berlin, Germany, approximately 600 m southeast of Potsdamer Platz. Once one of Berlin's most important railway stations, it was severely damaged in World War II, and finally closed for traffic in 1952, when the GDR-owned Deutsche Reichsbahn rerouted all railway traffic between Berlin and places in the GDR avoiding the West Berlin area. Berlin Anhalter Bahnhof is situated 210 metres north of Elise-Tilse-Park.

Friedrichstadt was an independent suburb of Berlin, and is now a historical neighbourhood of the city itself. The neighbourhood is named after the Prussian king Frederick I, who founded it in 1691 as the third expansion of the Berlin-Cölln city centre, after Dorotheenstadt and Friedrichswerder.
