The Haus des Meeres is a public aquarium in Vienna, Austria. It is located in Esterhazy Park in the centre of Mariahilf district, one block south of the busy Mariahilfer Straße. House of the Sea is situated 290 metres northwest of Rüdigerhof.

The Vienna State Opera is a historic opera house and opera company based in Vienna, Austria. The 1,709-seat Renaissance Revival venue was the first major building on the Vienna Ring Road. Vienna State Opera is situated 1¼ km northeast of Rüdigerhof.

The Naschmarkt is a popular fruit and vegetable market in Vienna. Located at the Wienzeile over the Wien River, it is about 1.5 kilometres long. Originally known as Aschenmarkt, it started to be called the Naschmarket around 1820.

Neubau is the 7th district of Vienna. Its border to the south is the popular Mariahilfer Strasse, to the west the Gürtel, and to the north Lerchenfelder Straße. The Neubau district contains many artsy places like the Museumsquartier.
