Holy Annunciation Cathedral

The Annunciation Cathedral is the main Orthodox church of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The pentacupolar Neo-Byzantine structure with a distinctive 80-meter-tall bell tower was completed on 2 October 1888, from designs by a local architect, Mikhail Lovtsov. Holy Annunciation Cathedral is situated 110 metres southwest of Mytropolychyy Square.

The Intercession Cathedral or Pokrovskyi Cathedral is the oldest cathedral in Kharkiv, Ukraine, built in 1689. In addition to the cathedral, the monastery complex includes the seminary, Kharkiv episcopal residence, and the Church of the Mother of God Ozerianska. Pokrovskyi Monastery Cathedral is situated 260 metres east of Mytropolychyy Square.
