The sole surviving Bismarck tower in France is in the commune of Le Ban-Saint-Martin near Metz. The tower was erected in 1902 when the area was part of Alsace-Lorraine, a Reichsland of the German Empire. Bismarck Tower is situated 470 metres east of Tour Hertzienne.
