Everett Crowley Park is a 38-hectare large forested park with trails, located within the Champlain Heights area of Vancouver. The park was previously a landfill, but was allowed to become reforested for recreational purposes.

Swangard Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Central Park in Burnaby, British Columbia. Primarily used for soccer, rugby, football, and athletics, the stadium also used to be home to the Simon Fraser Clan football team and the Vancouver Whitecaps while they were in the Canadian Soccer League and various US-based Division 2 leagues. Swangard Stadium is situated 4 km northeast of South Shore.

Mitchell Island is an island in the North Arm of the Fraser River in British Columbia, Canada, located between the cities of Vancouver and Richmond. It is crossed by the Knight Street Bridge, which is one of the main bridges between the City of Vancouver and Richmond. Mitchell Island is situated 2½ km west of South Shore.
