The Sonnenberg is a ski resort in the Upper Harz surrounded by the Harz National Park. The settlement of the same name located there is part of the borough of Sankt Andreasberg.

At 893 metres above sea level, the Rehberg in the Harz mountains is the fourth highest mountain in the German state of Lower Saxony, and the fifth-highest in the Harz. Rehberg is situated 2½ km east of Walter Schmidt-Hütte.

Sankt Andreasberg is a former independent city in the district of Goslar, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1 November 2011, it has formed part of the town Braunlage. Sankt Andreasberg is situated 4½ km south of Walter Schmidt-Hütte.
