The Oita Marine Palace Aquarium is located on the Takasaki Yamashita Coast in Oita City, Oita Prefecture, Japan. Its common name is Umitamago. The aquarium opened in 1964 as the Oita Marine Palace Ecological Aquarium, and was reopened on April 1, 2004 as the Oita Marine Palace Aquarium "Umitamago". Oita Marine Palace Aquarium ‘Umitamago’ is situated 1 km west of Tanoura Beach.

Yusuhara Hachiman-gū is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Ōita, Ōita Prefecture, Japan. It is one of two shrines claiming the title of ichinomiya of former Bungo Province, the other being the Sasamuta Jinja, also in Ōita. Yusuhara Hachimangū is situated 2 km south of Tanoura Beach.
