The Botanical Garden of TU Darmstadt is a botanical garden maintained by the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Today, the garden comprises about 4.5 ha of open land as well as 1,300 m2 of greenhouse space, on which well over 8,000 plant species are cultivated, with a notable collection of rare trees in its arboretum, as well as an alpine garden and heather. The Vortex Garden is a privately owned public garden in the Hessian city of Darmstadt. It is a pantheistic permaculture garden at the art nouveau area of Mathildenhöhe and alludes to Viktor Schauberger’s discovery of “levitational force” through artistic depictions by internationally renowned sculptors including John Wilkes, Jacopo Foggini, Jerome Abel Seguin and Hyesung Hyun. Vortex Garden is situated 660 metres northwest of Darmstädter TSG 1846.
