Fresquel Aqueduct

The Fresquel Aqueduct is one of several aqueducts on the Canal du Midi. Until its building, the canal crossed the River Fresquel on the level. Built in 1802–1810, the structure is near Carcassonne.

It is situated on a hill on the right bank of the river Aude, in the south-eastern part of the city proper. Cité de Carcassonne is situated 3½ km south of Fresquel Aqueduct.
