Thebes is a city in Boeotia, Central Greece, and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It is the largest city in Boeotia and a major center for the area along with Livadeia and Tanagra.

Ypato is a village in Thebes Municipality, Boeotia, Greece. It is located east of Thebes, in the slopes of Mount Ypatio. According to the 2021 Census, it has 316 residents. Ypato is situated 6 km north of ΧΥΤΑ Θήβας.

Eleon, or Heleon, was a town in ancient Boeotia, mentioned by Homer in the Catalogue of Ships in the Iliad in the same line with Hyle and Peteon. It is said by Strabo to have been one of the smaller places in the territory of Tanagra, and to have derived its name from its marshy situation. Eleon is situated 6 km northeast of ΧΥΤΑ Θήβας.
