This mountain is the highest mountains of Northern Yatsugatake Volcanic Group, and consists of two peaks, Mount Nishi Tengu, 2,646 m and Mount Higashi Tengu, 2,640 m. Mount Tengu is situated 3½ km south of Shirakoma Pond.
