Almaty Zoo is the state zoo of Almaty, the most populous city in Kazakhstan. The Almaty Zoo is one of the largest and oldest zoological parks in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Central Recreation Park, commonly known as Gorky Central Park of Culture and Recreation is an urban park located in the Medeu District of Almaty. The park features a variety of trees, including elm, oak, aspen, maple, pine, spruce, poplar, and birch, along with artificial water reservoirs. Central Park is situated 650 metres west of Almaty Zoo.

The Ykhlas Museum of Folk Musical Instruments is a musical instrument museum located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Located in Panfilov Park, the wooden building was erected in 1908, simultaneously with Ascension Cathedral. Kazakh museum of folk musical instruments is situated 1½ km west of Almaty Zoo.
