Dominion Observatory

The Dominion Observatory was an astronomical observatory and federal scientific institution in Ottawa, Ontario. It operated from 1902 until 1970 and played a central role in astronomy, timekeeping, geophysics, and surveying in Canada. Dominion Observatory is situated 150 metres northeast of Building 19.
