Solidor Tower is a strengthened keep with three linked towers, located in the estuary of the river Rance in Brittany. It was built between 1369 and 1382 by John IV, Duke of Brittany to control access to the Rance at a time when the city of Saint-Malo did not recognize his authority. Solidor Tower is situated 1¼ km northeast of Plage de la Vicomté.

The Rance Tidal Power Station is a tidal power station located on the estuary of the Rance River in Brittany, France. Opened in 1966 as the world's first tidal power station, the 240-megawatt facility was the largest such power station in the world by installed capacity for 45 years until the 254-MW South Korean Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station surpassed it in 2011. Rance Tidal Power Station is situated 1 km southeast of Plage de la Vicomté.
