The Big Buddha is a large bronze sculpture of Buddha, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, near Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Tian Tan Buddha is situated 2½ km northeast of Kwun Yam Temple.

Tai O is a fishing town, partly located on an island of the same name, on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The village name means large inlet, referring to outlet for the waterways merges as it moves through Tai O. Tai O is situated 2½ km northwest of Kwun Yam Temple.
