Château des Tourelles

The Château des Tourelles is a castle in the commune of Vernon in the Eure département of France. The castle originated in 1196, when Philippe Auguste, fighting against the king of England, Richard the Lionheart, for possession of Normandy, seized Vernon and made the town a military base. Château des Tourelles is situated 190 metres north of Île du Talus.

The Vieux-Moulin of Vernon is a former watermill built upon the remains of a medieval bridge in the Eure department of the Normandy region, France. The iconic half-timbered house stands on two piers of the former 12th-century bridge spanning the Seine and is considered the primary landmark of the city. Le Vieux-Moulin is situated 120 metres northeast of Île du Talus.
