The Fort of Alto do Duque is located 75 meters above sea level at the southwestern tip of the Monsanto Forest Park, in the parish of Ajuda, in Portugal's capital of Lisbon.

Belém Tower, officially the Tower of Saint Vincent is a 16th-century fortification located in Lisbon that served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. Belém Tower is situated 1½ km south of Forte do Alto do Duque.
