It consists of a white cylindrical concrete tower 3 metres in diameter and 12.7 metres tall with a red stripe and two balconies 4.7 metres in diameter. Cape Ortegal Lighthouse is situated 1¼ km northwest of Capela de San Xiao do Trebo.
