Krakus Mound or Kopiec Krakusa in Polish, also called the Krak Mound, is a tumulus located in the Podgórze district of Kraków, Poland; it is thought to be the resting place of Kraków's mythical founder, the legendary king Krakus. Krakus Mound is situated 240 metres northwest of Podgórze New Cemetery.

Plaszow, officially named Plaszow concentration camp near Krakow, was a German Nazi concentration camp operated by the SS in the area of Podgórze and Wola Duchacka near Płaszów, a southern suburb of Kraków, in the General Governorate of German-occupied Poland. Kraków-Płaszów concentration camp is situated 520 metres south of Podgórze New Cemetery.
