Fort Astoria

Fort Astoria was the primary fur trading post of John Jacob Astor's Pacific Fur Company. A maritime contingent of PFC staff was sent on board the Tonquin, while another party traveled overland from St. Louis. Fort Astoria is situated 2,000 feet northwest of Columbia Hall.

The Astoria Column is a tower in the northwest United States, overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River on Coxcomb Hill in Astoria, Oregon. Built in 1926, the concrete and steel structure is part of a 30-acre city park called Astor Park. Astoria Column is situated 1,800 feet east of Columbia Hall.
