The Bratislava Zoo is a zoo in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is located in the area of Mlynská dolina in the borough Karlova Ves. Opened in 1960, it is the second oldest zoo in Slovakia. Bratislava Zoo is situated 800 metres south of Westend Gate.

The Slovak Academy of Sciences is the main scientific and research institution in Slovakia fostering basic and strategic basic research. It was founded in 1942, closed after World War II, and then reestablished in 1953. Slovak Academy of Sciences is situated 290 metres southwest of Westend Gate.

Red Bridge

Red Bridge is a railway bridge in Bratislava, Slovakia, spanning the Mlynská Valley. It is recognizable by its distinctive red paint and was built in 1848 as part of the Gänserndorf–Marchegg–Bratislava railway line and was originally single-track and built of red bricks. Red Bridge is situated 370 metres northeast of Westend Gate.
