Kangerlussuaq Airport is an airport in Kangerlussuaq, a settlement in the Qeqqata municipality in central-western Greenland. It was originally built as Sondrestrom Air Base in 1941 and began to serve a civilian role in the 1950s which continued after the closure of the base in 1992. Kangerlussuaq Airport is situated 3 km northeast of Fossilsletten.

Kangerlussuaq is a settlement on the west coast of Greenland near the end of a fjord of the same name. Its Danish name is Søndre Strømfjord, and until the early 1990s was home to a U.S. military base known as Bluie West Eight.
