Olympiastadion is a stadium located in Munich, Germany. Situated at the heart of the Olympiapark München in northern Munich, the stadium was built as the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Olympiastadion is situated 1¼ km south of Rote Stadt.

BMW Museum

The BMW Museum is the corporate museum of BMW history and was established in 1973, shortly after the 1972 Summer Olympics opened. From 2004 to 2008, it was renovated in connection with the construction of the BMW Welt, directly opposite. BMW Museum is situated 1¼ km southeast of Rote Stadt.

Oberwiesenfeld station

Oberwiesenfeld is a station on the Munich U-Bahn which opened on October 28, 2007. It is located at the Moosacher Straße at the northern end of the Olympiapark, near the Olympic Village in Am Riesenfeld. Oberwiesenfeld station is situated 250 metres north of Rote Stadt.

The Olympic Village was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany and was used to house the athletes during the games. The Munich massacre took place in one of its apartment blocks, Connollystraße 31; the street was named for an Irish-American participant in the 1896 Olympics.
