Cleveland Island
Island
Cleveland Island is a small heavily forested island located in Wakeby Pond in Mashpee, Massachusetts. It once belonged to president Grover Cleveland. Cleveland once said that Daniel Webster caught a trout near the island, and then "talked mighty strong and fine to that fish and told him what a mistake he had made, and that he would have been all right if he had left the bait alone.

Mashpee is in Massachusetts on Cape Cod. It includes the village of New Seabury. Purchased in 1660 to be a reservation for the Wampanoag tribe and later revoked and incorporated as a town. Until the 1960s, Wampanoags made up the majority of the population.

Cotuit is a village of the town of Barnstable on Cape Cod. Cotuit Oyster Company has been producing oysters in the pretty harbor since 1837. In this quiet residential area with upscale summer retreats, the harbor provides great boating and kayaking and some beautiful views.
