Strong City is a city in Chase County, Kansas, United States. Originally known as Cottonwood Station, in 1881 it was renamed Strong City after William Barstow Strong, then vice-president and general manager, and later president of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. Strong City is situated 3 miles southeast of Spring Hill Ranch.

It is located south of Strong City along the south side of the Cottonwood River. Cottonwood Falls is situated 4½ miles south of Spring Hill Ranch.
