The Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange was Brazil's second largest exchange, and was amongst the oldest of Brazilian stock exchanges. The Old Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel is an old Carmelite church which served as cathedral of Rio de Janeiro from around 1808 until 1976. Old Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro is situated 180 metres southwest of Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange.

The Tiradentes Palace is an eclectic government building located in the Centro neighborhood, next to the Paço Imperial in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was inaugurated on 6 May 1926 and was the former seat of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, between 1926 and 1960, and is the current seat of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Tiradentes Palace is situated 200 metres south of Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange.
